APPLE WALNUT CRISP

This bubbly, golden crisp, bursting with a nutty apple flavor, is best served warm.

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 cups sliced apples*
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/2 cup PLANTERS Walnuts, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Arrange apples in greased 9 X 9 X 2-inch baking pan.

2. Mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; cut in margarine or butter until crumbly. Stir in walnuts; spoon evenly over apples.

3. Bake at 375F for 20 to 30 minutes or until fruit is tender and topping is crisp
