1. Saturated fats are derived mainly from animal fats.
2. Experts recommend eating less saturated fat in their diets.
3. Nuts, seeds, vegetable oils and fatty fish (like salmon, mackerel, trout, and sardines) contain polyunsaturated fats.
4. Monounsaturated fats can be found in peanuts, peanut oil, peanut butter, hazelnuts, cashews, macadamia nuts, and pecans.
5. Trans fatty acids are made from turning a liquid fat into a solid fat.
6. Processed foods do not usually contain trans fatty acids.
