FOUR LAYER BARS

Cookie bars with marshmallows, peanuts, and chocolate candies are popular with the whole family.

INGREDIENTS

• 1 (18.25-ounce) package yellow or chocolate cake mix
• 1/2 cup margarine or butter, melted
• 1 egg
• 3 cups Miniature Marshmallows
• 1 cup candy-coated chocolate candies
• 1/2 cup PLANTERS COCKTAIL Peanuts, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Mix cake mix, margarine or butter and egg until combined. Spread into lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

2. Bake at 375°F for 16 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

3. Immediately sprinkle marshmallows, candies and peanuts over crust. Bake for 2 to 3 minutes more or until marshmallows begin to melt. Cool completely; cut into bars.

NOTES:

For easier cutting, spray knife with nonstick cooking spray. VARIATION: Substitute 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, 1/2 cup flaked coconut and 1/2 cup chopped PLANTERS Pecans for candy and peanuts. Prepare as above.
